Todd 'Hayes' Kent was born into the world on 14th March 1985. Although given the name of Todd he was always called Hayes. We thought that we'd have a lifetime with him. He was a happy, healthy young man who crammed so very much living into his 16 and a half years of life.
It was on 27th January 2002 that Hayes grew his wings and became an Angel. At 3 minutes to midnight I called him to see where he was, you know how Mom's worry, and he told me he was on his way not to worry, because he was almost home. Little did I know what home. At 12.15am Hayes lost control of his vehicle (swerving to avoid a deer they think) and lost his life. The police came to break the news to us at 2.30am. In that instant our hearts broke into millions of tiny pieces. This wonderful young man whom had been the light of our life for 16 wonderful years had been called to Heaven. How can a parent carry on living?? How can they face another day when their world has been taken away?

But neither time or reason
Will change the way we feel

No one knows how many times
We have broken down and cried
We want to tell you something
So there won't be any doubt
